Hempstead Village New York Events
Join us as Long Island's top promoters join forces to bring you the best of New York City's best music, food and entertainment. Judi Bosworth and the city council are staging the first event of its kind in Hempstead Village, where pollutants from the city's air are thrown into the water in the form of air purification.
The garden is open on Saturday, 31 December, from 11 am to 4 pm and on Sunday, 2 December, from 12 pm to 5 pm. The city will host a holiday - the backdrop for the annual New Year's Eve celebration at Hempstead Town Hall.
You can also stay overnight at Greenpoint Terminal Market in the afternoon, where there will be a variety of food and drinks and live music. A few blocks from the Manhattan hotel, there are a number of well-known New York attractions including the Statue of Liberty and the Empire State Building. It is also a great place to try the famous TKTS Red Steps for the first time on New Year's Eve from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Crossroads of the World will be transformed into a ghost town on Thursday, and activities in the city include a variety of food and drink events, as well as live music and food trucks. Activities outside the city include a range of food and beverages, such as beer, wine and wine tasting, food truck tours and much more. In the spring of 1644, thirty to forty families left Stamford, Connecticut, crossed Long Island Sound, landed at Hempstead Harbor, and eventually set out for Nassau County, where they began their English settlement in Dutch - controlled New Holland. The village was founded in 1642 when twenty families moved to a 0.5-acre property on the east side of the Hudson River. The village of Hempstead differs from Nassua County in that it has a much more urban feel. Two men met in New Rochelle, New York City, at the end of the 18th century, at the same time as the first settlers.
